چکیده
The design and development of contrast agents for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with improved chemical stability higher contrasting capability clinical translation compared to conventional are still great interest. In this study, a facile universal approach was explored controllable functionalization red-emissive carbon nanodots (RCNDs) diethylenetriaminepentaacetic anhydride (DTPA) chelation gadolinium. A series accurate characterizations were used control each step the synthesis. did not alter band gap nanodots, preserving their inherent far-red fluorescence. as-prepared RCND-DTPA-Gd displayed high colloidal negligible Gd leakage. also showed better relaxivity than commercial MRI agents. had good biocompatibility in vivo even at doses. systemically injected found be efficiently excreted through renal route, feature that further minimizes potential toxicity risks. All these properties suggest can well designed as efficient carriers Gd, resulting tools dual MRI/fluorescence functional probes applications. described here could pave pathway flexible strategy small-sized nanoparticles including dots, rendering them more versatile. This work is expected promote future into trials.

Abstract Background Iron overload is the main transfusion related side effects in patients with transfusion dependent hemoglobinopathies. Severe iron deposition in tissues leads to organ dysfunction. Many organs can be affected such as heart, liver, and endocrine organs. Cardiac failure and liver fibrosis are the consequent of Iron overload in transfusion dependent hemoglobinopathy. Magne...

Background: Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) using nanostructures has been a proper method for tumor targeting purposes. Different MRI nanomaterials, targeting agents and anticancer drugs have been used for targeting of tumors. Objectives: This study aims to consider the MRI property of doxorubicin (DOX)-loaded gadolinium/13X zeolite/folic acid (Gd3+/13X/FA) nanocomposite.<br /...
متن کامل-Weighted Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging
T ∗ 2 -weighted functional MR images are plagued by signal loss artifacts caused by susceptibility-induced through-plane dephasing. We present major advances to the original threedimensional tailored RF (3DTRF) pulse method that precompensates the dephasing using three-dimensional selective excitation. The proposed 3DTRF pulses are designed iteratively with off-resonance incorporation and with ...

Cancer detection in early stage using a powerful and noninvasive tool is of high global interest. In this experiment, a small-molecular-weight glucose based derivative of Gd3+-1-(4-isothiocyanatobenzyl) diethylene tri amine penta acetic acid (Gd3+-p-SCN-Bn‐DTPA‐DG) as a novel potential MR imaging contrast agents was synthesized. Gd3+-p-SCN-Bn‐DTPA‐DG was synthesized with reacting of Glucosamine...
